Joseph Eboigbe – Commissioner for Finance

Eboigbe is a chartered accountant, management consultant and development practitioner with vast experience as a development advisor spanning over two decades.

He was Commissioner for Finance in the first term of Governor Godwin Obaseki. He had previously served the government as Special Adviser, Budget and Economic Planning, between 2016 and 2018.

He was the Executive Director/Coordinator, Edo State Economic & Strategy Team (Governor’s Office) from September 2013 to November 2016, where he advised and assisted the Governor in formulating, initiating and coordinating government policies for economic development, ensuring proper implementation and preparation of professional opinions and policies in achieving accountable and sustainable development in Edo State.

A Business Transformation Advisor, Eboigbe has an illustrious career as Partner, Deloitte and Head of Strategy and Enterprise Development with the Bankers Warehouse Plc.

He is a graduate of the London Business School, and has undertaken several professional courses including Policy, Strategy & Leadership Course (PSLC) from the National Institute for Policy & Strategic Studies (NIPSS), and Budgeting & Financial Management in the Public Sector from Duke University (Duke Center for International Development).
