Obaseki reforms: Surveyors intensify work on new airport project in Uzairue, Edo North

The Edo State Government has said the State is making significant progress with the development of the proposed airport project in Uzairue, Edo North Senatorial District of the State, as surveyors for the project have intensified work to finalize the survey and commence construction of the airport project.

Special Adviser to the Governor on Media Projects, Crusoe Osagie, in a statement, said the surveyors will be meeting with the traditional ruler of the airport host community, the Ogieneni of Uzairue, His Royal Highness, Kadiri Imonikhe, Omogbai 1V, and other stakeholders, to ensure that their input and concerns are adequately addressed.

According to him, “The Governor Godwin Obaseki-led state government remains committed to the realization of the proposed airport project in Uzairue, Edo North Senatorial District, which is crucial to the economic growth of our state and has continued to provide the needed support to get the required licenses and approvals for the commencement of the project.

“The surveyors for the project are working tirelessly to finalize the survey and we are pleased with the progress they have made thus far. The surveyors will be meeting with the traditional ruler of the airport host community, the Ogieneni of Uzairue, His Royal Highness, Kadiri Imonikhe, Omogbai 1V, and other stakeholders, to ensure that their input and concerns are adequately addressed.”

Osagie further noted, “As a government, we understand the critical role that infrastructure development plays in the growth and prosperity of our state. The new airport in Edo North is a testament to the government’s commitment to attracting investment, creating job opportunities for our people, and driving economic growth in the State. We will continue to work diligently to ensure the realization of the proposed airport project, guaranteeing that it is developed to the highest standards of quality and safety.”

He urged, “We are grateful for the support and cooperation so far received from the community and other stakeholders and urge them to continue to work closely with the government and other partners in making this vision a reality.”
