The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has mourned the passing of Dame Helen Uzebu.

In a tribute, the governor noted, “I celebrate the life and legacy of Late Dame Helen Uzebu, a loving mother and illustrious woman, who defied the odds and lived a life of impact.”

“She was a compassionate woman who worked assiduously to leave indelible marks in the sands of time through different personal and community efforts that greatly impacted her immediate community.”

According to Obaseki, late Dame Uzebu, “was loving and accommodating, offering herself freely in service of others and building strong relationships that speak to her humane and friendly nature.

“Her commitment to God was unmatched, which is reflected in her service in the Lord’s vineyard, where she gave herself for the growth of God’s Kingdom.

“She was a virtuous woman and passed the enduring traits of diligence, trustworthiness and hard work to her offspring, who are successful in their chosen careers.”

“She will be remembered for her cheerful nature, kind heart and her commitment to excellence.

“I commiserate with the Uzebu family, friends and associates and pray that God will grant all the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss,” the governor added.
