“The only way we can create jobs is to create technical schools and polytechnics that will train people and prepare them for work. In the coming year, we want to work with you in Lighthouse Polytechnic to make it a centre for technical training in Orhionmwon LGA.

The governor also reiterated his commitment to providing good governance and dividends of democracy to all residents of the state, noting, “Let leaders, rulers rule with justice. Anybody who has the grace of God to be in charge of people, anybody who has authority in this world must exert that authority with the fear of God and must only do that which is just.

“When you govern a state or country like Nigeria where there has been so much injustice over the past, it is important that leaders must insist on doing the right and just things.”

“When we in Edo State insist on doing what is just, some people will see it as unjust because they are used to other ways. We will only continue to do what we consider to be just even at the expense of our lives and thank God we still have people like you in Edo. This is because when you have a community/state where you have a voice of reasoning, who people can look up to, who will stand for the truth and tell you to your face in a very nice way, we will not go totally wrong.”
