The Edo State Government has concluded the physical verification and reassessment exercise for personnel of the State Public Works Volunteers (PUWOV) in the State.
In a statement, the Edo State PUWOV Coordinator, Mukhtar Yusuf-Osagie, said the exercise was held in the three senatorial districts of the State for over 1150 officials of the scheme.
Yusuf-Osagie explained that the headcount was targeted at revalidating the identity of officials and strengthening PUWOV’s operational efficiency.
The Coordinator, “The Edo State Public Works Volunteers (PUWOV) has concluded the physical verification and reassessment for over 1150 officials of the scheme across the State.
The headcount exercise which was held in the three senatorial districts was targeted at revalidating the identities of our personnel and bolstering operational efficiency to enhance service delivery and maximize the impact of the PUWOV scheme in the State.”
While reassuring PUWOV’s commitment to working with the State Government to maintain security, law and order in Edo State, Yusuf-Osagie urged members of the public to be watchful of impersonators posing as PUWOV officials.
He charged, “Edo people are urged to report the same to the appropriate authorities and always call the following helplines 09150322999 & 08132030846 to report unlawful acts.”
