The United States Consul-General in Nigeria, F. John Bray, in the company of the Economic Officer of the Consulate, James Plasman, paid a courtesy visit to the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Godwin Obaseki on Monday. They discussed issues of economic importance to Edo State including agriculture, power, (the Azura Power Project to which the USAID is committing $50 million), investment in critical infrastructure and youth empowerment, which are the fulcrum of Godwin Obaseki’s development agenda.
Mr. Obaseki received the delegation alongside his running mate, Rt. Hon. Philip Shaibu, and he noted that the visit will go a long way in enhancing cooperation between the United States and Edo State.
