Governor Governor Obaseki of Edo State has commiserated with former deputy governor of Plateau State, Dame Pauline Talen, on the passing of her husband, John Talen.
It would be recalled that Dame Talen politely rejected an ambassadorial nomination last year to take care of her sick husband, but he died earlier this week.
In a condolence message to the former deputy governor, Governor Obaseki noted that the news of her husband’s demise brought him immense grief and such losses were difficult to cope with.
He said, “While acknowledging that losses like this are difficult to cope with, we would that you took solace in the fact that your beloved husband has gone to rest from the troubles of this world”.
Meanwhile, the governor urged her to be strong, while praying that God would give her the courage and strength to cope with the loss.
He said, “I pray the almighty God grants you the emotional courage to bear this vacuum and get over the pangs of sorrow caused by it as soon as possible”.
