Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki, governorship candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has told the people of Edo State to expect more development when he is voted into power in November. Obaseki made the declaration on Wednesday while addressing party supporters in Uromi, headquarters of Esan North-East Local Government Area.
Obaseki promised that his administration will bring more development to the people of Esan land than ever seen, adding that his major reason for joining the governorship race is to help fulfill the yearnings and aspirations of the people of the state.
“I am here to make sure that your hope is not lost. I want to assure you that what you have seen in the last seven and half years is only the beginning. In the next four years, we will bring about massive development and prosperity on a scale never before experienced in this state”, he noted.
Obaseki, who also promised to re-open Uromi as a poultry-farming hub, pointed out that his administration will empower the people by providing the needed resources to bring back the town’s glory days.
“Uromi is a junction town which was full of poultry farms in those days. My administration will provide the resources to turn Uromi into a major poultry hub”, he promised.
As part of his campaign tour in Esan Land, Obaseki earlier visited Ubiaja, headquarters of Esan South-East Local Government Area.
While in Ubiaja, Obaseki promised to establish a large-scale rice farm and entrepreneurial centre to offer trainings for small and medium scale enterprises, SMEs.
